M.Y Renovation: September 2005

M went down to our house during lunch to monitor the air-con works and installation of lights. The aircon ppl from Natural Cool were early and finished installed all the air-con. They drop some dirt on our laminate flooring so mop for us. Hope they do dry mopping! :) Our lights are also installed but electrician accidentally cut wrong hole! ID say will patch up for us and won't be obvious.

One of the flourscent tube inside one of the lights for the bedroom is found to be faulty (it has cracks), will have to ask our lighting supplier to change for us.

Yesterday, the HDB plumber turned up without calling. Our ID has to rushed from IMM to our house to open the door for him.
Today morning, the HDB main con call my ID to inform him the plumber is coming today. My ID told him the plumber has ored come yesterday liao.. and grumble a bit.. dun know why the HDB contractor never coordinate with the plumber one.. can make such a mistake.

Today our reno has make great progress. The painting is all done. Laminate flooring all up except master bedroom. Laminated ledge at window also done. Laminated platform at cosy corner also done. The Africian black colour M like a lot, he is so happy. The laminate flooring is done with a plastic sheet on the screeding, follow by rubber mat, then the laminate wood. It is solid, not floaty and no kok kok sound.

Today lights delivery a bit messed up. The lights delivery man called me on mobile while i am on course today. I saw foreign number so didnt' pick up. Then later their shop call me and i tot wats going on. Later then i realise is bec the delivery man come earlier at 1plus and wanted to come in, but the originaly delivery time is 2pm and M is still on his way there. Finally manage to receive all the lights. The pendant light still need to assemble.

Rubber mat for the laminate flooring. The workers lay the plastic sheet on the screeded floor, then follow by the rubber mat, then the laminate flooring. The rubber mat is for sound insulation (to avoid the hollow kok kok sound of laminate flooring)
